About Us

A Bit About The Club...

Knowle Dog Training Club was established in 1979 and is run on a voluntary basis by our instructors.

Instructors are elected on to a commitee annually at our AGM and are primiarly responsible for the day to day running of the club. We also elect one member of the club (non-instructor) to the commitee to represent the other members.

Club House

Free tea and coffee is available in the club house for members and their families.

Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme

If you would like to find out more about the scheme click here.

Associations & Charities

Our annual awards evening in November is an evening whereby the dog club recognises the efforts of both our instructors and members over the previous year. It is also used as an opportunity to support a local charity and invite them to speak at our event.
Here are just some of the charities we have welcomed over the years:

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
• Dogs for the Disabled
• Heronfield Animal Rescue Centre
Border Collie Trust
Retired West Midlands Police Dog Benevolent Fund
Birmingham Dogs Home
Guide Dogs for the Blind

Joined as member in 2019 and been a trainer since 2020. Current dog is Izzie Wizzie the rescue staffie/couch potato! I would describe myself as someone who doesn’t take life seriously, happiest when rambling along a beach with my rucksack and dog. Loves a cheeky challenging dog (the bigger the better).

Became an instructor in 2020. I am the membership secretary, I originally joined the club about 12 years ago, but have been a recent member about 7 years. Trained 3 springers at the club. Enjoy agility. Walking two spaniels Ruby and Frank. Frank helps out in my classes.

Member since 2016, qualified in 2020. Trained Bess the Jackapoo and took part in agility with her. Most Happy performing on a stage when not with the dogs.

Qualified as an instructor in 2020
