About Us
A Bit About The Club...
History
Knowle Dog Training Club was established in 1979 and is run on a voluntary basis by our instructors.
Organisation
Instructors are elected on to a commitee annually at our AGM and are primiarly responsible for the day to day running of the club. We also elect one member of the club (non-instructor) to the commitee to represent the other members.
Club House
Free tea and coffee is available in the club house for members and their families.
Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme
If you would like to find out more about the scheme click here.
Associations & Charities
Our annual awards evening in November is an evening whereby the dog club recognises the efforts of both our instructors and members over the previous year. It is also used as an opportunity to support a local charity and invite them to speak at our event.
Here are just some of the charities we have welcomed over the years:
• Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
• Dogs for the Disabled
• Heronfield Animal Rescue Center
• Border Collie Trust
• Retired West Midlands Police Dog Benevolent Fund
• Birmingham Dogs Home
• Guide Dogs for the Blind
Registration
To join one of our puppy or dog training courses you must register with the club in advance. The only way to register your dog or puppy is to pop along on a Sunday morning, between 10.30 and 11.30, to Knowle Village Cricket Club, Solihull, when we have our classes. Please bring your up-to-date vaccination certificate with you.
